Meh, I'm not Christian, but the Bible is one of the most epic books of all time. Every now and again it does have a proverb that is adept to my life. Lately I've been attempting to take an onslaught of side projects to my name to keep me distracted from unemployment. It sucks not having a job when you want one, and what's worse, there are people out there working right now loathing their jobs and sucking at them right now. Anyway, aside from some animosity I share for the American workforce right now, I think it's time I set some goals. Some short term, and some long term. I know that I haven't used my DA page in over a year, and now I've hopped back on because I'm falling back in love with tapping the well of creativity that has sequestered dormant in me. I haven't written a story, a song, a poem, drawn a picture, or had a moment to actually remember how creative I really can be.
In a grass roots effort, I'm attempting to make projects with a team of people I know and trust, that I believe will help bring the best out in me. It seems like progress is heritage to those who believe in themselves or at least those around them. In the wood works I have a flash animation project in the works tentatively titled "Gears and Treasures" with my team of Taranari, Hyouzo, and Zoingishly. It feels like it should be a rewarding endeavor. I'm trying to balance all of my talents so while I will still play music and tour around with friends' bands or session when needed, I still want to get back to what I used to feel progress in.
Up and coming projects include a comic I may start working on about existentialism entitled "From Below", a video game idea I may adapt from my buddy Jackie's book series The Anatomy of:, and loads of other projects with my project team. I hope this will turn out the best, and I hope that my sentiments of like-minded objectivism will get these meek individuals into doing what they love doing.
Well I'll keep posting sketches of ideas, and I may even finish a work. Note I don't believe in using color for my pieces...nor pen. It's because I'm not good with either concept, unless you count oil pastels.
Either way, time to keep on truckin'
VALE ME AMICI!
